We hear, over at DC Fan Team headquarters, that the Word Nerds want to know what David’s favorite color is because they want to show up to the Idol concert in that color…
We are not going to lie to you WRDNRD. We were so tempted to tell you “pink”, so that DC would look down from the massive stage at Madison Square Garden, only to see a sea of powdery pale pastels in support of him.
However, we will take this moment to be honest and say, you know, we actually don’t know what his favorite color is. We know his Myspace page was decorated in the same colors as this humble website. We know he wears a grey handkerchief a lot. He has a blue scarf that he loves. But we are just not sure what his absolutely favorite color is. We encourage you to be creative and come up with something fun and funny - that’s our suggestion for the surest way to get David’s attention.

Well. This answer is tough. We’ve contacted the M&M people and they actually tried making David Cook M&Ms. However, there were serious problems. First, the idea that it would melt in your mouth, not in your hand. The mere logistics proved impossible. Several people were injured upon learning that it doesn’t melt in your hand… it actually melts your hand.
But, officially, they claim he’d be “blue.”

Let’s, for one minute, assume David’s Mom and Dad both had blue eyes. Well, from our limited knowledge of gene progression, that would mean that both his mom and dad had a bb trait. When you insert that into an everyday Punnett Square, you see that he has no chance but to have blue eyes. But, if one of his parents had Bb (brown eyes) then he could have a 50% chance of having either blue or browns eyes. Of course, then you have to factor in dominant and recessive characteristics, and whether his parent’s phenotype is reliable..

First of all, even if David doesn’t know who the heck you are, we here at the DC Fan Team can say, without a doubt, that we love you. You just saved us hours of slaving over a witty signature by adding your own (and well done, we might add). We’d tell you about what we did with the time you saved us, but this is a family site and David has an image to uphold…
As to the tattoos, we can tell you that David recently got a new tattoo, and in the running for consideration was a Mermaid with a skull for a head, an empty frame where David could write in anything he wanted, and the name “Gerta” (we’re not really sure what that was about…)
We have a very strict “No inter-office dating” policy here at the DC Fan Team, so unfortunately, we cannot tell you about his other tattoos we’ve seen during the DC Fan Team Holiday Party, specifically last year when we were all on this…

David has three CD’s on the market, plus a few homemade demos and such floating around. You’ll have to be industrious to catch wind of those, but as for the others… David’s solo album is titled Analog Heart and he can also be heard on Axium’s album, The Story Thus Far and on Midwest Kings Incoherent With Desire To Move On. American Idol and it’s devil exclusivity contracts insisted on David taking all of his music down. But once the show is over, and A.I. unclaims his soul, his CD’s usually can be found on CD Baby and iTunes.

Okay, this is going to sound pretty bizarre, but the night David sang Mariah Carey’s “Always Be My Baby,” I had trouble sleeping (too much caffeine and this really scary post-David Cook-performance-induced mania), but as I came in and out of consciousness, and maybe because Paula made that comment about his rendition of the song being perfect for a soundtrack, by the time I woke up in the morning, I had an entire screenplay penned in my head–and it was HOT!
At the time, I didn’t realize David had a theater background, so I was thinking one of the leads would be a David-type character and that the soundtrack could use all kinds of David Cook music, but now that I know he can act (is there anything he can’t do?), maybe he should just play the lead role himself. Kinda like Glen Hansard ended up playing the role in the movie, Once, even though originally all he was asked to do was compose the soundtrack.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that if David gets bored being an international heartthrob and musician, I’ve got a great script awaiting his approval.

I went through this 2 years ago with the guy whole stole my heart by singing as though he had stolen half my record collection. American Idol is really a contest about performing on TV, and he did what it took to win. From what I hear, he told them what they could do with their prize, and they will tell you he’s a failure. Don’t believe it.
Your guy could be the smartest one ever. The right combination of theatre, brains and confidence. So what does he want? Does he want to pay the devil and grab their gold ring?

After analyzing the “David is single” videos on youtube, I realised that David appeared first embarassed, then bashful then suddenly seemingly upfront and blatant when he said “yes” three times! Am I missing something here, is he trying to send an encryptic message across that I’m not getting? Am I thinking too much? Is the sky really blue?? How would you know?
Venus, the sky is really blue. I got the same analysis from the youtube video. I think he was embarassed. Also, I think he said that for PR reasons. I have not heard or seen a word about Lacey and him since the first go round. Maybe this site will finally clue us in on the “maybe it’s a romance.” We’ll see.

Carolina from DR, I am with you about lack of concentration with David on the scene! There are times this week when I’ve had trouble sleeping because I want him to keep excelling and doing well. I guess I just get nervous for him - I can’t imagine what it’s like to have to bring your “A game” each week on live TV in front of 30 million people. The orange wristband was given to Cookie by a reporter, I think, with the saying “Do Whattya Gotta Do!”, the favorite saying of the reporter’s 7 or 8-year-old daughter. The little girl has leukemia. She watches the show every week to see if he wears the wristband, and we all know that David Cook is not known to disappoint the viewers!

WOW, I am so deeply moved by the wrist band he wears. My daughter is a Leukemia surviver. We all wear the Wrist bans. When we saw him wear one, we wondered if it was the same. I bet the girl he wears it for has been so inspired, and proud. The treatments are so tough, and any inspiration one can get to help, is a true blessing. I am just so touched by his support.
