A Huge Thank You To All Our Visitors
Today is a great day! David Cook won American Idol and showed the world what he’s made of. Those of us here at the DC Fan Team wanted to take a moment and thank you, our visitors and David’s biggest fans for helping put him over the top. DC may be a Word Nerd, but the DC Fan Team has their own resident Numbers Nerd and he has a few numbers to share.
- 97 Million - the number of votes cast in the 4 hours following Tuesday’s show - the most in any Idol finale
- 12 Million - the number votes DC won by
- 235,699 - the number of pages of this site viewed by you, DC’s fans
- 96,069 - the number of different times someone thought “Gee, I sure could use some ‘Cook Look’ or a little ‘Analog Heart’ right now…”
- 51,977 - the number of different people who have checked out this site since March 1
- 100,000+ - The number of times we’ve been able to stream you David’s pre-idol music. Frankly, the number may be far higher (we streamed 658.8 GB of data in 3 months) but our reporting system just couldn’t keep up with the load!
We think those numbers speak for themselves, but in case you’re still wondering the point - Thank YOU! You have spent this season of Idol diligently searching out information and listening to songs you’d never heard from an artist you’re beginning to love (we read the message boards - don’t act like you don’t love him). Because you have taken the time to give David’s music a chance and then spent your time telling as many other people about the amazing new artist you’d found, David Cook is now America’s Idol. We’re sure he thanks you and the DC Fan Team certainly thanks you as well.
Dear DC Fan Team,
Thank you for all that you have done. This is the first time I’ve ever been inspired enough to join a “fan site” and I think it is largely in part to your witticisms. I sincerely hope this site isn’t going to go away now that AI is over. There will be plenty more information to glean on Mr. Cook over the coming years and I would like to think that I can still turn to you all for the latest information. Please say you’re going to stay!

What a great group of people you all have been. Our favorite guy made it all the way! You guys rock!!! It was very nice to know I wasn’t the only one affected by Mr. Cook and his “evil” ways. I’m not sure what classes he took in college but one of them must have been Female Manipulation 101. *heavy sigh* I’m still fantasizing about him wearing nothing but that guitar and those crazy cowboy boots. Yummy!
Sorry, I digress. It could be because I drank a whole bottle of champagne last night, partly in celebration, partly because I was so wound up I couldn’t sleep. I’m paying for it today though. In closing I just want to say…
WELCOME TO THE PLANET DAVID COOK!!!! We’ve been waiting.
I think we owe you guys a big ‘thank you’. You have been so amazing setting up this site and taking the time to interact with us, the fans. It’s been an amazing and unique experience following David’s rise on Idol, one I will never forget. Now I look forward to watching his incredible career evolve. I can already tell that I will be enjoying DC’s music for very many years to come.
Can you say most successful Idol ever?? That’s my prediction.

DC Fan Team….you guys just plain out ROCK!!!! Because of y’all, I was able to hear David’s music, see some of his greatest pics, and meet people who share the same love and enthusiasm for David as I do. I am in sincere hopes that y’all do keep the site going. We were just glad we had somewhere to go to keep our minds from reeling when we had to wait all week just to see and hear him again. Thank you guys for all you have done!!!!!
Thanks for the nice words, Rayne. Although, I’m pretty sure you aren’t the only one who feels the same way. We were brought together by one love: and his name is David. We were here for each other during the entire Idol process….and as far as I’m concerned I’ll be here until I breathe my last breath. Hope you feel better…hangovers are a B*TCH lol. It’s great to be able to share opinions and have really positive comments on them. Don’t kid yourself…..you ROCK too!!!
As far the rest of y’all…….y’all ROCK!!!! I am so glad that I found this site. I’m glad that I was able to gush about David’s perfectionism….if that’s even a word lol….and found pretty much the same things written by y’all. Y’all need to get in on this to convince the DC Fan Team to keep the site open so we can talk all David all the time.

But the point is that YOUR AWESOMENESS IS INDIVISIBLE!
You would not sing as you do if you were not the nerdy, sweet, goofy, HOT, pointy booty, funny, sensitive guy that you are.
Finally- keep in mind you are not just the American Idol– you have fans in the many countries. I’ll gladly show you around London before your first concert here
I love this web site and am very grateful to those who run it. I loved the 301 Reasons to Vote for Cook. I don’t know the story about those who run the site but if you’re friends of Cook, it makes me realize once again he’s going to be fine throughout this whole crazy thing he’s in. Between his family and his friends, he’s surrounded by people that will have his back and keep his feet on the ground.
I love him in the whole “I don’t really know him personally” way. I feel like I know enough ..his talent, his kindness, his protection of his family, his absolute dorkiness and of course his word nerdiness. He deserves every good thing that comes his way.

We have been able to come here and have a laugh, learn about the David Cook that we all have grown to love and for the rest of the week that we couldn’t see cookie on tv we could come here and share with all the other cookie fans that was missing him too. We all have become one great big family even if we don’t personally know you all, the cook family or David Cook we all feel like we do now.
You all should really think about sharing this site with David and his family to show them how much he is appreciated and loved. Thank you all for giving us this site and please keep it going. Can’t wait until his first CD comes out and to see him in concert.
