Sure, 19 Entertainment still makes money off him, but it would have been so much sweeter if the ‘American Idol,’ not the fourth-place finisher, had been the biggest-selling artist in 2007. Cook’s potential CD sales could even overtake Daughtry’s. He’s über-talented and can sing ‘Phantom of the Opera’ with as much ease as Phantom Planet. The stylists have exposed his raw sexuality and - surprise! - he’s also a nice guy. The perfect ‘Idol’ package. Make no mistake, it’ll be Cook singing the assuredly icky ‘coronation’ song Wednesday night.”

Finally, someone got it right. I was waiting just to see if someone would publish all my thoughts rolled into a short summary. But they did…….and I would repeat it over and over again. Go David…….you rock!!!!!

Oh my. David Cook. Oh sorry I was thinking something else…ANYWAY, YES to all the above. I read a similar blurb somewhere else this past weekend. I’m thinking I need to take that whole week of Aug 25 off, see him in Dallas, then drive to KC too. It would be nice. I sure hope this all works out how David wants. I’m one of I’m sure millions who will buy his post-Idol (and pre-Idol!) music for years to come. Go David!
I’m still working on getting somewhere with my boss so she’ll decide to do this for me. If not, I guess I’ll just have to wallow in my own self pity until he does get his band together, make a CD, and go on tour. Of course, I can still listen to his music, look at his pics, and hopefully this site will still be kicking post-Idol. Then I can come here and repeat everything I say often enough and share the same thoughts with y’all……
Yes… icky coronation song. But, look at what he did to the icky Mariah song…. F@#$ing awesome. He’ll do it with any lame Idol song they throw at him too!!!
Word on the street is that the Davids are allowed to pick one out of 10 songs as their “coronation” song. So perhaps David will be able to find one half-way decent song out of the group of 10.
