Bonus Rock Report - Bonus Tour Dates in Kansas City!!!
KANSAS CITY, MO. — The American Idol concert tour has added a second date in Kansas City. You can now catch the top 10 Idols including Blue Springs native David Cook at the Sprint Center on August 29 & 30. Tickets are available now at ticketmaster.com.
I wish I could go to THAT show. It would be so cool to see him perform at his dream venue. But alas, it is not in the cards for me. *sigh*
It doesn’t matter what show it is…I’d die just to go to one. But it doesn’t look like it’s in the cards for me either *SIGH*…..(sheds a tear)
Rebecca, I keep telling myself that it’s better to wait until he tours on his own anyway. That way I won’t have to sit through performances I don’t really give a crap about. I repeat it to myself regularly. It hasn’t really started helping yet but I’m hoping for a revelation very soon!
How COOL is this that they added another show here? It MUST be because of David, right? Tickets available on the floor for the 30th right now! I am seriously considering taking the whole week off, see him in Dallas Mon, then drive to KC for Fri or Sat. I KNOW, I would much rather just see David. But I can’t wait that long! I already missed out on how many years of him singing in little bars & clubs…ARGH makes me ill just to think about it. Gotta see him NOW!
I thought about doing the same thing, Rayne, but then I decided that I should take advantage of the opportunity to see him when I *know* I’m in a position to do so, both time-wise and money-wise. If I don’t go on the Idol tour, and then somehow can’t see him when he goes on a solo tour, I’ll be kicking myself for not going to the Idol tour. So I nabbed some tickets.
Rayne, I completely agree with you. I would rather see him go on tour alone then have to sit through 9 other solo performances I couldn’t give a damn about. BUT…..if that would be the only way I could see him perform live, then I’d have to risk it. He’s worth waiting for and suffering through agonizing performances. And coolshades makes a good point…..get in and see him while you can. I agree with all of you on so many levels. Our love for this guy has us thinking alike on so many accounts it’s scary lol. Well of course David is the reason they added another show in KC, Kath. They sure as hell didn’t add an extra show anywhere else near where the other contestants are from. And 9 times out of 10 they had to book another show there because the first show was completely sold out and I can almost bet people were willing to pay two to three times as much for the tix just to see him. Isn’t he worth it though????? Love you David….good luck tonight and tomorrow night!!!!

Rebecca D. I agree. It is because of him. He is going to sing U2 tonight. They announced it this morning on Fox. Do we know what else he will be singing? He has to sing that ucky, shitty, AI contestant song, but he will make it good.

I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For. I THINK they get to sing the entire songs. They got to choose whatever they each want from the Top 10 songs from the AI songwriters contest. Probably means the winner was REALLY horrid and TPTB didn’t much like any of the songs! hahaha. Read comment that he said he gets to do the “intimate” song thing and the rock song and he’s stoked about it all! HOORAY David! Just leave it on the stage, boy-o. Do what you do and you will knock us out.
I’ll bet they’re letting them pick their song because the Davids have such different musical styles. They realized after last year’s fiasco with Blake that it would be more fair to let them choose a song that matched with their style, rather than forcing them each to do a song that they may not be comfortable with.
U2 is my absolute favorite band of all time, and I went berserk when I read the spoiler last night. I hope you’re right, Kath, that they get to sing the whole song. Seems to me that they have plenty of time to do it, considering there are only six songs total.

David could sing the alphabet and it would still be intimate……There might be millions of prepubescent teens girls in love with the other little bugger…but he won’t cut it as a selling artist. I used to like him in the beginning of the season. But as the season wore on he just became monotonous and boring. It was the same old song and dance. But our man kept us going. Reeling us in from start to finish. Hook, line, & sinker!!!! All I know is for sure he’s singing U2, that’s his “encore/new” song choice, then he’s got the songwriter’s song, and Clive Davis is going to choose a song for him to sing. But from what I read, and I can’t remember where, if I do I’ll find it and post it, they are both going to get record deals from the company that offers the winner a deal. And the article said that no matter who is deemed winner, they both get it, so they both win really. All this is going to determine is who’s the more popular contestant by votes……isn’t that great???? Our man is going to get it anyway!!!! He’s so awesome…..I’m in love with the most perfect man in the world and he doesn’t even know I exist…isn’t that pathetic????? Oh well, love you David and I can’t wait to rock out with you tonight!

People are talking David Cook everywhere I go. Even at the deli counter at Whole Foods!!
