Since DC has made it the top 2 we thought we would bring you a bonus Rock Report to celebrate the occasion.
“Simon Cowell recently revealed to Blender magazine that he thinks David Cook should walk away with this season’s American Idol title.
And he may!
Idol’s King of Mean tells the mag, ‘I think he’s done more to deserve it over the eleven weeks. He’s taken more risks, he’s done things with certain songs that have been more interesting. If I’m gonna base it on who has done the best performances over the live shows, David Cook deserves to win.’
He also hints that he thinks youngin’ David Archuleta has no personality.
Can’t hate on Simon. He calls it as he sees it!”
Absolutely 100% truth. Who would you rather listen to? Who would you rather pay money to see? Who would you rather talk to? etc., etc.
Mr. Cook has earned this.
As a side note, he’s nicer to look at than monchichi
I think Simon has made it pretty clear over the last few shows that he thinks David should win. What’s funny, though, is that he said “no” to David in Hollywood week! Looking back, I’ll bet he’s glad that Randy and Paula said “yes”

Simon is trying to spin American Idol back into the show it used to be. Where the winners were actually great singers who could make a really good living singing. The past 2 seasons, it was nothing but a popularity contest. You are telling me that Taylor Hicks was better than Katherine, Elliot, Chris, Kelly, Mandisa & Bucky? I think not. Jordin was one of the front runners from the getgo but Blake was not a really good singer, just a good entertainer. That’s why Simon is all for David. He IS the total package. The entertainer, the chops, the looks…everything. The other David is cute yes, and he can belt out a good ballad, but he won’t sell CDs. That’s what happened to Taylor Hicks. He won, but no one was buying his CDs. I was given his CD for Christmas. It has 1…count it 1 good song. Anyhow….getting back to the subject at hand….if this is played out how it’s supposed to be….Mr Cook will the deemed the next American Idol. Love you, David….keep on rocking!

Ah David Cook is a genius! Amazing Incredible Talented Passionate Musical Genius. AI will be whatever it’s gonna be. David is gonna be a STAH now. I thank AI for revealing David Cook to the world for what he truly is! OK I’ll comment on the other stuff - I kinda wondered if Simon said NO that Hollywood week because he knew the other 2 would say yes and he wanted David to keep WORKING. But who knows! We can speculate all day long about the judges and the show blahblahblah. I am VOTING for David, have been voting for him, LOVE him with or without AI now, woulda bought DID buy his music without AI or with AI. I hope & wish the best for him now. His rock-n-roll fantasy of the last 10, 20 years, is HERE, because of who he is. HOORAY! Thank you AI. Thank YOU, David Cook, for being beautiful, for everything you do, you share, you are. Love you, David.

It’s quite clear by now that he really wants to win this (just see how nervous he was for results, and how happy he was last week to get through).

Somehow I think we have an understanding Kath. Every time you say something I agree with you 100% and vice versa. Thea, you are not the only one who isn’t a U.S. resident that is a fan of his. A week ago or so I posted a couple of comments on here from a New Zealander. He also has fans from Malaysia, the Phillipines, Australia….all over the world. The fan from New Zealand even went as far to say, please keep voting and voting…not only does David depend on it…but so does the whole world. And apparently it’s the truth. He is internationally known. The only one from Idol that I am aware of with the same status is Kelly Clarkson. He just has something that no other musician I’ve ever seen has….it’s special and rare. And we all love him for it. That’s why he has us falling for him harder and harder every day. People all over the world love him…and that’s what’s going to keep him going for years to come. We are all looking forward to his future endeavors!!!

I have my tix for AI in Dallas TX (the state where The One & Only David Cook was born, ya know)! On the floor. Seeing if I can get my 2 seats in my company’s suite too though. Well now aren’t you just the luckiest person in the world? Although I think I may be inching closer to getting tix to the Bossier City, LA show. I live way down south in LA so it’d be like a day and a half drive for me BUT…..I think my boss is going to find a way to get me there. I do a lot of work that my boss is supposed to take care of and every so often she does a little something extra to repay me. She knows how much I love AI and how much I love David….so I think she’s going to try and work out a plan so that I can have tix and a room nearby. I think she might come with me too. I’d even go to that Dallas show if I had to…and it’d be easier for me to go to the Dallas show and get the expenses paid for because our headquarters for our company is in Dallas……..I can’t remember the dates though. I’d have to look them up again. Oh how I’d love to meet this man. Security would have to haul me off….lol just joking…I’d probably pass out before I even had the chance to say hello. I’m devising a plan…….I’ll get there one way or another. If I can get to the Dallas show instead of the Bossier City show that’d be sweet!
Isn’t there some way for folks from outside the US to vote? I heard there was some “backdoor” way to do it. Maybe that was just a rumor, though.
And let’s not forget Mr. Cook has never forgotten the lyrics in a manner the audience could detect. 100% professional all the way!
Fab-u-losity at it’s absolute height! That is David Cook. Yeah, he’s gonna WIN! Is there anything David can’t do? He could’ve done about anything he wanted to do. And he chose to share his amazing incredible unique astounding musical-ness with us. Or maybe he just HAD to, no concious choosing involved! That’s what it seems like to me most of the time - this is what he is supposed to be doing. I’m out of words. I love this man, his writing, his voice, his singing. love love love. VOTE VOTE VOTE! Hey Cooktards! iTunes just put up vids for Happy Together, All Right Now…and Hello! Too bad they didn’t include the “word nerd speech” video clip before ARN. Damn, he really rocked that. All of these are wonderful vids of our Mr Cocky McSmugface ROCKING THE HOUSE! (I borrowed that name from someone’s post on a blog, BTW, which was meant in total sarcasm, of course.) VOTE VOTE VOTE Tuesday! Let’s make sure our David wins this thing.

Is everyone else as jittery and nervous as I am for tomorrow night? I can’t wait to see David rock the house. I personally think Clive Davis is taking his power over the record label and Idol way too far. Just because he is the one who gives the winner the record deal doesn’t mean he has the power to dictate the songs they sing. Knowing how he has screwed musicians in the past, he will probably pick a really good song for the contestant he wants to win and a bad song hoping the other will screw up. As far as the winner’s song, that’s a bunch of bull too. The song and arrangements are almost always perfect for one and a killer for the other. I’m just glad that this year they are finally letting the contestants change the arrangement to how they see fit. They never did that before. The encore song…used to be a prior performance, it had to be. But now it’s different. I’m not understanding what the hell Idol is doing anymore. But that’s fine….just as long as our guy does what he knows how to do best….and that’s rock out. Love you David and can’t wait to see you tomorrow night!
