The Rock Report - May 10, 2008

David loves the Royals and so do we. The Royals love David and so do we. Everyone is talking about David Cook these days…even MLB.com.

“Cook, wearing a personalized Royals jersey with No. 08, threw a left-handed low-and-inside pitch to Brett Tomko, a pitcher who crouched behind home plate.

Afterward, manager Trey Hillman presented him a framed duplicate of the Royals’ lineup card with Cook listed as the 10th man.

‘My performances are always dedicated to the Kansas City Royals,’ Cook told the crowd.”

  1. T’was a rather impressive pitch I might add.

  2. Yeah I agree, Rayne. Typically when you see someone throw out a first pitch, they don’t have the strength to get it all the way over the plate, and it ends up bouncing in the dirt. He did a darned good job for someone who’s not a major league ball player. And even the major leaguers throw ‘em low and inside allllll the time :P

  3. I like how HAPPY he looked! And at the end of a VERY busy day. How cool was that? Yeah and he can actually pitch (a little bit anyway!). He could’ve done anything he wanted, judging by what I’ve read so far. I am absolutely THRILLED and so happy that he chose to share his music, his heart & soul, with us! What a loss to us if he hadn’t. How beautiful is this man? Sigh.

  4. Perfect words…

“How beautiful is this man” inside and out…

  5. David David David. Mr. Cook. Waiting waiting waiting. Is it Tuesday yet? I am so looking forward to hearing your song choice (love that song), First Time, and whatever the producers choose. Because I’m sure all 3 will be amazing. Cause that’s how you are! Beautiful. Has anyone told you that you are a beautiful man? Yeah, corny but true, inside & out, I believe. I’d love to verify in person…heehee… Good luck, sweetestheart! Just blast those other 2 off the stage.

  6. Hey Kath…just ask Robin. She gets to be within arms reach of him. How jealous am I of you???? MUCH!!! I was able to watch his performance at his high school. When I saw him cry, I cried. Ok how sad is that? I could only about imagine what it was like when he got home. I saw the aerial coverage of when he arrived at his house, but there was no sound. Just the video. And it wasn’t close either, which kinda sucked. But that’s ok. I have enough close up pictures of him to last me through the week until Tuesday and Wednesday come around. I’m going to be so upset when AI is over. I won’t be able to see him perform live. And I will reiterate Kath’s words….how beautiful is this man? My sentiments exactly. I don’t think that I could have come up with a more perfect sentence to suit him. Love you David…..keep on rocking!!!

  7. OK Robin…if that is so, I’m terribly jealous. But happy for you too! Lucky lucky beyond lucky girl. What I wouldn’t give for a chance to know him. I’m seriously interested in what I can do to support him. Wish I’d known much much sooner. I’ll do what I can. I’ll most likely be relegated to the throngs who love him from afar…forever. Knowing him would so much more interesting, darn it. SOOO I hope the hometown visit picked him up and he’s ready to lay it on us - and those other 2 so-called contenders. I’m sure he is. And how fabulous is he in that jersey & ball cap? nom nom nom. Is it Tuesday yet?

  8. Don’t worry, Kath. You are not alone in having to love him from afar. I’m in that so-called throng. DANG!!!! Judging by what I’ve read about him so far, anyone would be lucky to know him. Not only is he the most gorgeous man walking this planet, but he is by far the sweetest and most gentle soul that ever lived. I would give my left arm and leg just to get close enough to smell him…yeah. He was the best looking one amidst all the Kansas City Royals. He is just too perfect for words. Unfortunately it is NOT Tuesday yet…but I am waiting. Robin you are soooooooo lucky.

  9. I cannot believe it is only Monday
