The Rock Report - March 26, 2008
Not that the DC Fan Team condones gambling, but folks, we’ve got to come clean with you here.. We watched Oceans 11 a few times, tied up our Creative Director, blew up the DC Fan Team Safe (which contained exactly $3.00) and flew ourselves out west for a “What happens in Reno, stays in Reno” vacation (couldn’t quite afford Vegas). Anyway, it looks like it all worked out for us in the end - here’s what Gambling 911 had to say about David this week:
David Cook to Become New Favorite to Win American Idol
With all the early buzz surrounding that other David (Archuleta), Gambling911.com has long been predicting that rocker David Cook could win this season’s American Idol as an early 50 to 1 odds underdog (paying $50 for every $1 bet).
Following this week’s incredible and very original version of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”, David Cook will likely become the new favorite to win it all. He had been listed with 3 to 1 odds heading into Tuesday night’s performance show

Leading up to this week, caustic Judge Simon Cowell had touched upon the idea that Cook could win based on talent alone provided this season’s American Idol was not just a “popularity contest”. After Tuesday night’s daring performance, Judge Randy Jackson reiterated Simon’s assessment. “

First of all , I freakin’ love this site.. thanks for helping me to satisfy my David fix.. anytime I need anything David, I just log in and there you guys are.. so I need to thank you for being there to support a new die hard David Cook fan! I appreciate it.. I think I could need therapy after this season is over , but that is another site all together.. LOL
Ok, so on with the comments:
1. Your comments are great and I have to agree that after last night, DC is the now the front runner to win it all.. (Billie Jean was AMAZING.. and what in the he$# song did little Archuleta pick- it was ghastly.. As Simon would say..)
2. If any of you speak to David personally in the near future can you PLEASE tell him that Rebecca says HI and that I am very proud of him and wish him all the best and that he freakin’ rocks.. yada, yada, yada you know what I’m saying…
and it wouldn’t hurt if you slipped him my phone number either… wink .. wink…
3. Ok, so I’m curious.. what exactly happened in Reno?
I love this site and appreciate it so much. I loved David as a musican the moment I heard him sing that amazing Bon Jovi song. He is so talented and I believe that he will win. At first I wished that he wouldn’t because I was afraid that American Idol would control ever aspect of his music and cramp his creative style. However I now know that whatever David sings it is going to sound amazing! He can take my favorite Beatles song and pump it up to sound better. I look forward to American Idol every week. I haven’t felt this certain since Kelly Clarkson.
Kimberly Locke performed last night on American Idol , and she was looking fabulous!! She has lost 40 pounds and was looking fierce! She was wearing a dress made by Project Runway winner Christian Siriano. I have to say… I didn’ t like the dress that much. It was okay. Not Christian’ s best work, but Kimberly looked and sounded awesome!! She is so cute…. love her!
