The Rock Report - March 12, 2008

Who knew we loved “Eleanor Rigby” so much?  We here at the DC Fan Team have been playing DC’s rendition on repeat since early last night, so before we finally crash from too much coffee and rock and roll, here’s today’s media quote:

Move over Daughtry, there’s a new rocker in town and his name is David Cook. His version of “Eleanor Rigby” sent chills up and down my spine and straight into my soul… I really felt an emotional connection when he sang, “look at all the lonely people.” Another iTunes must-download.”

  1. I absolutely love David’s Eleanor Rigby interpretation but I don’t think it’s BETTER than the Beatles’ version, but it’s definitely a more modern sound for the song. And it’s actually funny that someone would actually say and believe that David’s version is better than “John Lennon’s version” when Paul McCartney is singing ALL the vocals.
