Since DC has made it the top 2 we thought we would bring you a bonus Rock Report to celebrate the occasion.
“Simon Cowell recently revealed to Blender magazine that he thinks David Cook should walk away with this season’s American Idol title.
And he may!
Idol’s King of Mean tells the mag, ‘I think he’s done more to deserve it over the eleven weeks. He’s taken more risks, he’s done things with certain songs that have been more interesting. If I’m gonna base it on who has done the best performances over the live shows, David Cook deserves to win.’
He also hints that he thinks youngin’ David Archuleta has no personality.
Can’t hate on Simon. He calls it as he sees it!”

Top 2!
Today we wanted to honor Andrew Cook for being awesome. Not only did he convince DC to audition he also tells the world’s funniest story about punching DC in the side of the head. Everyone should be so lucky to have a little brother like Andrew Cook!
“As we got closer to it, my mom and my little brother were being a little bit more persuasive in trying to get me to audition with him. So at the last minute, I decided to do it. He didn’t make the first cut and we were in the same audition group of four. It was very awkward, like to the point where I turned to him and said, ‘Is this something you want me to do, because if you don’t want me to it, I won’t.’ And his response was, ‘If you don’t, I’ll beat your —.’ So yeah, it’s entirely his and my mother’s fault that I’m here and I’m very grateful for it.”

The top 3 have done their thing and now it’s just a waiting game. Instead of telling you that we think DC is awesome for the 100th time we thought we’d share this blogger’s opinion with you.
“David Cook has got the smug attitude of a rock star, the purposely messed-up hair style of a rock star and the overpriced wardrobe of a rock star. After tonight’s American Idol, odds are good that he will be able to live out his rock-n-roll fantasy.”

We’re down to the top 3 and we feel like things are getting really serious so today we just picked a silly article to help pass the time. We can’t wait until tomorrow night!!! In the mean time, we can all apperciate the fact that little boys in the Kansas City area are asking for a haircut like David Cook’s!
In fact, clients are starting to ask for the look by name.
Cook’s name.
“Two of them came in and said, ‘I want that David Cook look with the spikes and the little taper in the back,’ she said.”

David loves the Royals and so do we. The Royals love David and so do we. Everyone is talking about David Cook these days…even MLB.com.
“Cook, wearing a personalized Royals jersey with No. 08, threw a left-handed low-and-inside pitch to Brett Tomko, a pitcher who crouched behind home plate.
Afterward, manager Trey Hillman presented him a framed duplicate of the Royals’ lineup card with Cook listed as the 10th man.
‘My performances are always dedicated to the Kansas City Royals,’ Cook told the crowd.”

Today is DAVID COOK DAY and we’re too busy celebrating to really update the site. But when we read the DC said today is the “coolest day of his life,” we couldnt’ help but post it. Happy David Cook Day!!!!!
“In Kansas City, Mo., the crowds withstood wind and drizzle for a glimpse of the shaggy-haired and raggedy-voiced rocker Cook, a native of the suburb of Blue Springs. His hometown tour — during a day which Missouri and Kansas City officials declared ‘David Cook Day’ — started bright and early with TV appearances on the local Fox affiliate, followed by his late-morning appearance at the Power & Light District.
‘What are you guys doing here?’ Cook said, teasing the screaming crowd. ‘Guys, thank you, seriously. … I don’t know what else to say. This is the coolest day of my life.’”

Today’s a great day to be a David Cook fan! Our boy has made the top three and is getting ready to head home for a parade, concert, and baseball game. We couldn’t be more excited for DC and the DC Nation! We found this quote about DC’s talent and couldn’t agree more so we thought we’d post it for your reading pleasure.
“I decided this show’s just not built for daydreamers. To survive the Idol machine, you either need almost bulletproof talent (D.Cook), or the kind of ambition-fueled tunnel vision that omits any sense of self from the equation (Archie, Syesha).”

Tuesday Tuesday, our favorite day of the week! As we wait with bated breath for what will undoubtedly be a DC-slaughter tonight on Idol, we bring you a funny little quip from New York Magazine:
“We’re actually excited that he (David) could pull out songs like “Love Will Tear Us Apart” and “The Weight” and smack the other three contestants around the stage with them. Mark it down: This is a David Cook week, and unless he accidentally strangles himself with the cord of his electric guitar, he finishes on top.”

We thought this quote was appropriate for today since everyone in Kansas City is talking about the possibility of DC singing at the Royals game next Friday night.
“Cook has been incredible and it’s hard to tell what the future will hold and what song choices will be made. One thing is absolutely for sure. Cook will be the best this week. There is no way anyone can outperform him in this category. It’s like giving a professional baseball player a bat on ‘baseball night’ and throwing three other fans in the mix.”

We felt like things were getting a little too serious around here so we thought we’d lighten the mood with this delightful quote…
“Jim Moran remembers the last time David Cook was up to bat on his American Legion baseball team.
‘There was an inside pitch, and he turned away, and it hit him in the back of the head,’ Moran recalled with a laugh. ‘Knocked him out right on home plate.’”
~The Blue Springs Examiner (A little hometown pride, ya’ll)
